  I've hired trucks and vans from Avis Wollongong on several occasions now, and these people are the best! Best customer service I've found anywhere and great prices. They went above and beyond for me every time. I highly recommend them

  I do not recommend avis car rentals at all. We were moving so i hired a truck for my father ( a liscened truck driver) to drive to move our furniture. When i went to pay and pick it up with him, i was told a lot of paper work has to be filled out for me to pay and him drive. So the guy put it under my name and added my father as an extra driver. This was okay what they failed to tell me was i would be charged an extra $25 because im under 25, at no point did i intend to drive the truck but to avoid him doing more paper work...i ended up paying more. Then after the truck was returned I was wrongly charged the exces fee which took a week to be returned to my account. This is money i needed. THEN on top of that when i recieved the excess back i was again charged the rental fee. When i rang to ask why they told me the first is a holding fee and the second the actual fee. So the first should disappear. It did luckily because i was told if it doesnt I would have to deal with head office as the branch can only deal with customers up to 48hrs after the return of the rental. This all should have been disclosed before i rented the vehicle. All in all i had a pretty terrible experience, paid more than originally quoted, experienced great stress thinking i would lose my money to the excess and got transferred around from branch to call centre and back again. Would NOT recommend.

  WOW! Great service. Very easy to deal with. Little understaffed though - Could probably have another person to help the one guy out. I guess it's a out of the way outlet so hard to justify. The guy there really tried his best though! 10/10 for effort
